What Couples Say...

We entered our first meeting a bit nervous because we didn't want just "anyone" to marry us. With time constraints being an issue...the level of stress was enormous. Bill did a wonderful job of coaching us, and spending time getting to know us as a couple. We met at Willow Creek Church, (which was nice cause we got to meet another couple he had just recently married), and sat and talked. He told us about himself, and listened to our story. Bill wasn't just listening to us...he was interested in our story. We left confident knowing that Bill was going to be PERFECT! Before the ceremony, Bill came in to visit with me to do a final "check with the bride" and I was quite flustered...we had been running late, some things were not in place for the ceremony...and frankly I was just nervous. But when Bill came in and prayed with us, he brought a calming feeling (aka the presence of God) to the room, and everything seemed ok. Throughout the ceremony, Bill was great, he reflected on many of the stories we shared with him, he made us at ease with our decision to have chosen each other, and most importantly he engaged the word of God into his instructions to us as husband and wife. After the ceremony, so many people came to ask us how we found him, and gave a million compliments on how his sermon was heartfelt and real. We were extremely happy!

"We want to thank you two for the time we spent at your house. It has helped us in many ways, but it has helped Tony in more ways than you could ever know. Timing is everything and you two came and just the right time in our lives, not only for our Wedding, but for all the time in between. We both have enjoyed talking, laughing and sharing our stories so much. For me, what I have loved most is seeing and experiencing Tony open up in a way I seldom get to see. As a couple you two are truly inspiring and I can only hope that our lives will be blessed in that same spirit your lives reflect. Thank you. "

"Couples coaching was extremely helpful for us. Before the start of coaching we felt as if we were pretty good communicators, but the coaching helped to enhance and strengthen our skills. It was a great way to practice for future issues that are sure to arise in our marriage. Bill and Treva had us look towards issues such as; budgeting, communication, conflict resolution, family planning, etc... We now have all of these great ideas in our back pocket to use when needed."

"We will carry into our new marriage a better sense of self about ourselves and our spouse. We learned things about each other we wouldn't have thought to ask. My husband learned that by taking my hand when we walk makes me feel wonderful. I learned that by taking such an interest in his work as a teacher makes him feel proud. These seemingly small things that we may do unconsciously mean so much to each other. Recognizing some of these needs that are so easily fulfilled each day, can enhance how we look at the day and each other."

"Couples Coaching is a great jumping off point. What better way to begin your marriage than to talk and share about how you fell in love, why you are in love, and learn strategies to keep that love everlasting. We always felt so good about ourselves, each other, and our relationship after our sessions with Bill and Treva. They have this wonderful way of making you feel comfortable, welcomed, and blessed all at the same time. We feel very lucky to have found them!!"

We were a harmonious couple so we did not think we would benefit much from it. We were wrong! The coaching really helped us with the little everyday frustrations we have as well as how to deal with conflict. The coaching really helps you with every aspect of your relationship.

Thank you both for all of your time and guidance during the couple counseling sessions. It is quite obvious the strength and level of commitment you both have with one another. It is admirable and set a good example for us to follow! The conflict resolution steps allowed us to step back and consider all the aspects and contributions to our conflicts. It made it easier to come together to find an agreeable solution to our problem. You made it easy for us to be open and free with our opinions. The thing that we enjoyed most was getting to know more about one another - our needs, thoughts, opinions and dreams.
